Infographic on expenses and environmental impact of coffee
There are different ways of brewing a good cup of coffee. Expenses and enviromental impact differ dramatically. If you drink one cup every morning for a whole year, this is what you’ll do to your pocketbook and the enviroment.
The cost for one cup is calculated by the price of one capsule/one serving plus the purchase of the coffee maker, divided by 365 days. Bottles, cans, and newspapers illustrate the waste created by primary packaging at the consumer level in one year. The graphic also shows that packaging can amount for more than 15% of CO2 emissions when pads are used or be as low as 2% when regular ground coffee Is used.
