Mars Mission 2016 / 2018

ExoMars (Exobiology on Mars) is a large Mars mission to search for past or present life. It is an astrobiology mission by the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos). According to current plans, the ExoMars project will comprise four spacecraft: two stationary landers, one orbiter and one rover.

The infographic focuses on the first mission of the ExoMars programme, scheduled to arrive at Mars in 2016. It consists of a Trace Gas Orbiter plus an entry, descent and landing demonstrator module, known as Schiaparelli.
