Switzerland has a successful waste management policy. But although the Swiss are great recyclers, they are among the worse offenders in terms of the quantity of rubbish produced. The first infographic (mobil optimized) compares the quantities of different kinds of waste.

Since 1990 PET plastic is being recycled in Switzerland. Up to now this has been a good bargain. But since the oil price is dropping recycling is less lucrative. The second infographic shows what happens to PET plastic bottles after their usage when being recycled and when not.
